3. The dinner is written as the place of the subject. It should be written at the place of the object in the active voice. The mother is written at the place of the object. It should be written at the place of the subject. The helping verb gives the hint that the sentence is in the past indefinite tense. Therefore, the sentence is – The mother prepared the dinner.
4. The sentence is – what was being done by you there? Here in the sentence, what is used at the place of a subject? And ‘you’ is written at the place of the object. The place of both the words should be interchanged. The helping verb points out that the sentence is in the past continuous tense.
5. The book should be written at the place of the object and the publisher should be written at the place of the subject. The helping verb should be is. Therefore, the sentence is – the publisher is publishing the book. This is the active voice.
